Devangana is a student at Vasant Valley School, New Delhi. With a keen passion for reshaping the present-day social realities of underserved individuals and communities, Devangana finds her driving force in an active interest in history and political science, particularly within the ability of these disciplines to render questions around gender and environment intelligible. With goals that are informed by the importance of cultivating empathy and sensitivity to bring little and not-so-little changes - within South Asia and particularly India, Devangana aspires to work towards addressing and mitigating the fissures and fault lines in our society. Outside the classroom, she can be found debating, writing, occasionally playing golf, and researching everything that is informing our progressive movement into a more equal future.
